Lovi Poe bid a heartfelt farewell to Coco Martin and her “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” family following her character Mokang’s unexpected demise in the January 4 episode of the Kapamilya teleserye, leaving viewers stunned and saddened by her departure.
In a video from ABS-CBN Entertainment, Lovi expressed the immense fulfillment she experienced being part of the series. She extended her gratitude to Coco for continuing her father, Fernando Poe Jr.’s, legacy.
“Being involved in a project that represents my dad for the first time meant the world to me. Papa, I also pray that you guide and bestow Coco with your powers. He now carries it all, and I know your legacy is in great hands,” she shared.
Lovi also cherishes her bond with Coco, acknowledging their beloved tandem as Mokang and Tanggol, which deeply resonated with viewers.
“I am incredibly thankful to him. He became a great friend to me, and I’ve learned so much from him. I truly admire him in every aspect. I’m very grateful to have been part of his journey,” Lovi added.
Coco, along with the cast of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” including Ivana Alawi, Christopher de Leon, Irma Adlawan, and director Darnel Villaflor, congratulated Lovi for breathing life into her character as Mokang.
“I’m delighted with her because she’s so dedicated in scenes. No airs about whatever you ask her to do. She’s incredibly down-to-earth,” Coco remarked about working with Lovi in a previous interview.
As the narrative unfolds, Tanggol (Coco) will bid his final farewells to Mokang (Lovi) after she gets shot by Olga (Irma) while attempting to save Tanggol’s life during a tense crossfire.
