Linkin Park—featuring original members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn—are back with their first new music in seven years, now joined by Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara as co-vocalist and Colin Brittain, a renowned songwriter and producer (G Flip, Illenium, One OK Rock), on drums.

LINKIN PARK – “The Emptiness Machine”

Linkin Park is set to make a triumphant return with their first album in seven years, FROM ZERO, arriving on November 15 via Warner Records. Fans can now pre-order or pre-save the album through the provided link.

In celebration of this new chapter, the band sits down with longtime friend and Apple Music host Zane Lowe for a candid interview, discussing the legacy of Linkin Park, the challenges of their seven-year journey, and their renewed excitement for the future. Fans can tune in to the exclusive conversation at 9PM (GMT +8).

The path to new music began unexpectedly for Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, and Joe Hahn, who quietly started meeting up again in recent years—not with the intention of restarting the band, but to reconnect as friends and rediscover the creative bond that brought them together in college. As the sessions progressed, they invited various collaborators to join them in the studio, eventually forming a special connection with vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain. This organic chemistry grew as they spent more time together, rekindling the band’s uncontainable energy and culminating in the creation of FROM ZERO.

Reflecting on this new era, Shinoda explained, “Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero. The album title nods to that humble beginning and the journey we’re on now. Sonically and emotionally, it captures our past, present, and future—honoring our signature sound, but with new life and energy. We’re incredibly grateful for our new bandmates, our friends, family, and fans. This album represents what Linkin Park has grown into and where we’re headed.”

The lead single, “The Emptiness Machine,” reintroduces Linkin Park’s iconic style with explosive energy. Blending Shinoda’s hypnotic melodies with Armstrong’s powerful vocals, the track is a mix of distorted riffs, pounding drums, and the band’s unmistakable intensity.

Shinoda added, “Working with Emily and Colin has been incredible. Their talent and creativity have revitalized our sound, and we’ve created something that feels both familiar and excitingly new. We’re proud of this new lineup and the vibrant music we’ve crafted together.”

With FROM ZERO, Linkin Park is embracing the pure essence of their journey, bridging the past, present, and future. The band is ready to embark on this exciting new era.
