Throughout the entirety of the pandemic, private companies, groups, and institutions have all come together and mobilized in order to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. This constituted of donations, fundraising drivers, and in some cases, actual buildings built dedicated to treating COVID-19 patients.
BMPI conceptualized a COVID-19 facility that acted as an answer to the urgent need in accommodating the rising number of patients that were spilling over from other health institutions.
BMPI’s dedicated COVID-19 facility was unveiled as 3-storey building situated in Malolos, Bulacan, with 35 patient rooms, and 18 quarter rooms for doctors, nurses, and other medical staff totaling a respectable 53 rooms.
LG Electronics Philippines, remaining committed to the call of raising the comfort of both patients and health workers alike, outfitted the facility with a staggering number of home appliances. LG donated 65 28” LED Monitors, 4 Top Load Washing Machines, 5 Top Mount Refrigerators, and 2 1HP Split-Type Air conditioners which combined amount over to over 1 million Pesos. Each patient room, which will have patients isolating for at least 14 days, will have an LG LED Monitor to keep them company while the heavy-duty washing machines, refrigerators, and air-conditioners provide a big help for the staff staying in and taking care of the patients.
LG Managing Director Inkwun Heo shared his thoughts regarding the donation, stating “Even as the country transitions to a General Community Quarantine and restrictions are slowly lessened, Filipinos and health institutions still need all the help they can get.
