ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema has officially announced its latest romance-comedy film, “My Love Will Make You Disappear,” featuring the popular Kapamilya love team of Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino. The film quickly became the #1 trending topic on social media on Monday, August 12.
Kim Chiu shared the exciting news during an announcement on “It’s Showtime,” saying, “After bringing you entertainment on TV and tours, Paulo and I, along with Star Cinema, have a special gift for you—’My Love Will Make You Disappear.'”
Director Chad Vidanes described the film as a fresh take on the rom-com genre, blending classic elements with unique twists. He teased fans by saying the movie will explore “how the magic of love makes you wild and fun.”
“It’s been a while since we’ve had a true blue rom-com from Star Cinema, especially before the pandemic. This year, we’re thrilled to be a part of this project, and it’s all because of you,” Director Vidanes added.
“My Love Will Make You Disappear” marks Kim and Paulo’s first film together following their success in the hit series “Linlang” and “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.” It also signals their return to ABS-CBN Films after a four-year hiatus.
The film was conceptualized by Prime Cruz and penned by writers Patrick Valencia and Isabella Policarpio.
