Koobideh Kebabs, the latest dining sensation from The Figaro Coffee Group, renowned for Angel’s Pizza, Tien Ma’s Taiwanese restaurant, and the beloved Figaro cafe chain. Nestled in Makati, this branch marks the debut of a promising Middle Eastern culinary experience.
Amidst a plethora of Middle Eastern eateries in the area, Koobideh Kebabs sets itself apart as the go-to for budget-friendly kebabs. To kick off our gastronomic journey, we opted for the classic Hummus with Pita as an appetizer. Creamy and textured, the hummus leaves a slightly sour note, likely attributed to a hint of lemon juice. It serves as a satisfying prelude to the main event.
The stars of the show, the Chicken and Beef Chelo Kebabs, arrived with an aromatic allure that triggered immediate salivation. Both varieties proved to be a delight – moist, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Surprisingly generous in portion for its wallet-friendly price, my only yearning was for the subtler spices to make a more pronounced presence on the palate.
Venturing further into the menu, we couldn’t resist trying the Beef Kebab Burger, featuring a patty crafted from the same succulent meat found in the Beef Kebab. Juicy and flavorful, the addition of crisp veggies provided a satisfying crunch, while the cheese contributed a welcomed sharpness to the overall composition.
The encounter with Koobideh Kebabs was nothing short of delightful. Undoubtedly the reigning champion in its price category, the kebabs and accompanying items exceeded expectations. If you find yourself craving affordable and authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, look no further – Koobideh Kebabs is a must-try.
