Lucas Garcia, the second runner-up of season 1 of “Idol Philippines,” opens up about the pain of loving someone at the wrong time in his newly self-written single “Kapatawaran.”
In the song, Lucas expresses the struggle of letting go of someone not because they did something wrong, but because the timing isn’t right. The heartbreak he went through inspired him to pour his emotions into the ballad, which tells the story of his own breakup.
Despite his vulnerability, Lucas willingly shared his feelings with the help of Star Pop label head Rox Santos, who produced the track.
Previously a member of the vocal trio “iDolls” with fellow “Idol Philippines” contestants Matty Juniosa and Enzo Almario, Lucas has since ventured into solo work with several singles under his belt, including “Pinaasa,” “Tinatapos Ko Na,” and “San Na Ba.”
Listeners can now stream “Kapatawaran” on digital platforms and watch the visualizer on YouTube to experience the poignant lyrics and emotional delivery of Lucas’s latest release. For more information, follow Star Pop on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
