It was a triumphant year for the Kapamilya directors and writers who joined the ongoing Cinemalaya 2019 as their movies “John Denver Trending,” “Iska,” and “F#*@BOIS” stowed the most desired honors in the yearly film celebration.
The current year’s Best Feature Film and NETPAC Jury Prize “John Denver Trending” was composed and coordinated by ABS-CBN TV creation head essayist Arden Rod Condez and delivered by the writer, director, and producer Sonny Calvento. Box-office Kapamilya director Theodore Boborol and screenwriter Mary Rose Colindres, then again, worked together on the movie “Iska,” which grabbed the Best Actress, Best Sound, and Best Screenplay Awards.
