This July, ABS-CBN Films-Star Cinema brings the ideal pair of Kathlyn Bernardo and Alden Richards on the widescreen through ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye.’ Helmed by the blockbuster director Cathy Garcia-Molina, ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ is a film about Joy (Kathryn) and Ethan (Alden), two current OFW’s set in the clamoring high of cramped Hong Kong that is bound to change each other’s lives until the end of time.
Joy, a domestic helper who still longs for prevailing to carry on with a more prominent life a long way from her denied adolescence, meets bartender Ethan, a sweetheart playboy who is now constructing a perpetual life in Hong Kong. Before long, they build up a friendship and become each other’s bliss against the grime and crush of the city. So much that when forlorn evenings come, they completely give up to one another’s solace while the idea of “this is just ‘for now,’ we are not permanent” exists.
They wonder, can their “for now” go-to for eternity? Nonetheless, what happens when Joy’s fantasies must remove her from Ethan? What is the cost of needing more? “It was my first time to give my on-screen characters a chance to live like what their character truly is. Particularly with Kathryn, since she assumes the job of a DH, we treated her like one,” Direk Cathy shares. “I am glad that they (Kathryn and Alden) are proficient enough to acknowledge my conditions,” she includes.
“We truly submerged. I did bartend for a night. We truly needed to feel how to be as (OFWs),” (says Alden.
For Kathryn, she “grasped life in Hong Kong. “Presently, I regard OFWs much more. My three weeks there appeared years,” she states. ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ is a story by Cami Raymundo, who was likewise behind the ongoing blockbuster hits like ‘My Ex And Whys,’ ‘Finally Found Someone,’ and ‘The Hows Of Us’ that was additionally with Kathryn and Direk Cathy. It is set to open in theaters across the nation beginning July 31.
