Discussing the inspiration behind the song, Makazo shares, “‘Belong To You’ was born from my personal experience with an unfaithful partner. The contrast between the lyrics of overwhelming betrayal and the song’s lively, upbeat tempo is intentional, symbolizing the happy facade I maintained for so long.”
