The Jollibee Group is redefining the milk tea experience in the Philippines with the launch of Milksha’s first-ever standalone concept store at SM North EDSA in Quezon City on January 20, 2025.
Milksha, a well-loved Taiwanese milk tea brand, operates 336 stores across Taiwan, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Known as Milkshop in Taiwan, the brand has earned notable accolades, including being voted the “No.1 Milk Tea Brand” by Taiwanese university students and recognized as “The Best Reviewed” milk tea brand by online media platform Daily View. The Jollibee Group acquired a majority stake in Milksha in 2021.
“Milk tea has become an integral part of Filipino daily life. Milksha stands out in this growing market by using fresh, premium natural ingredients and crafting unique, refreshing flavors that cater to the evolving tastes of Filipino milk tea lovers,” said Joseph Tanbuntiong, Chief Executive Officer of Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) Philippines.
“We are thrilled to welcome Milksha into the Jollibee Group family. With its high-quality ingredients and commitment to innovation, Milksha offers a truly delightful experience for our customers,” added Ernesto Tanmantiong, Global CEO of the Jollibee Group.
First concept store in Manila
Milksha’s first concept store in the Philippines is designed to offer an authentic Taiwanese milk tea experience. With a menu featuring over 30 premium specialty beverages, customers can enjoy a wide range of options, from classic milk teas to refreshing fruit-infused drinks. Each drink is brewed using traditional Taiwanese methods and crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients sourced from around the world, including Milksha’s signature honey pearls. Among its bestsellers are the Signature 3Q Milk Tea, Strawberry Coulis Milk, and Jasmine Green Tea with Cloudy Cream.
The store’s minimalist design, highlighted by warm, earthy tones, reflects Milksha’s commitment to fresh, natural ingredients, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. To further enhance the Taiwanese tea experience, Milksha’s tea baristas have undergone specialized training in Taiwan.
“We take pride not only in the quality of our offerings but also in the level of service we provide. Our company culture is built on transparency and exceptional customer service—something that keeps customers coming back to our stores worldwide. We aim to bring that same experience to the Philippines,” said Chris Chao, Chief Operating Officer of Milksha Global.
Milksha Global founder and CEO Peter Huang also highlighted the team’s dedication in bringing the concept store to life. “Without all of you, this wouldn’t have been possible. I sincerely thank our partners for making this project a reality. We look forward to expanding, creating more jobs, and making every milk tea lover happier with every cup.”
Milksha’s concept store is located on Level 2 of the Main Building at SM North EDSA in Quezon City. It operates daily from 10 AM to 10 PM. For more updates, follow @milkshaph on Instagram.
