Driven by its cause to combat hunger in Filipino communities, JBG in partnership with Rotary Club of Makati Buendia and Highway Patrol Group (HPG) recently distributed a total of 250 food packs to the residents of Payatas, Manila.
JBG, an organization connecting Filipino small and medium enterprises, led the joint initiative entitled JBG Give: Payatas Food Drive that aims to provide assistance to marginalized communities such as Payatas especially during the pandemic where most of the Filipinos have lost their jobs and have no other means of earning for their daily needs.
To continually contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus during the activity, HPG representatives took part in ensuring that Payatas residents observe proper physical distancing.
“It’s been JBG’s promise to connect, share, and give, and we are hoping that through this simple initiative, we are able to lessen the burden of every family in Payatas. In every smile that we see, in every expression of gratitude we receive it is so uplifting and motivating to touch and inspire more lives,” shared Jao Labao, JBG Founder and President of Rotary Club of Makati Buendia.
“We are also looking forward to supporting more communities through our initiatives, and we encourage others to help those in need in every possible way we can,” he added.
