Kapamilya singer-actress Janella Salvador explores the anticipation of confessing romantic feelings in her new music video for the single “Hey You.”
The Star Music artist reunites with her “Darna” co-star Jane De Leon in the music video, which celebrates love within the queer community. The video garnered over 100,000 views within a day of its release and debuted at no. 11 on YouTube PH’s trending list for music.
Janella premiered the music video at the Pride event “LoveLaban2Everyone,” held at Quezon City Memorial Circle on Saturday, June 22.
“I hope you enjoy this little gift I prepared for all of you, especially the women-loving-women community who deserves better,” Janella said during her performance.
“Hey You” was produced by ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo, who co-wrote the track with StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos and Anjila Lim. The song is also featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday Philippines and OPM Rising playlists.
In March, Janella released the single “headtone,” the first from her upcoming album set to be released this year.
