FIRST-EVER CHINESE SOLO ARTIST TO PERFORM HIS OWN SET AT COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL
Jackson Wang, a singer and performer, has teamed up with Grammy-Award winning artist Ciara for his latest single, “Slow”. The track, which was co-written by Jackson and produced by Grammy-Award winning DVLP, Luyo, and Tristian Hoogland, combines the duo’s signature styles with raw emotion and a captivating groove. Fans can listen to the track and watch the lyric video.
Jackson, who grew up listening to Ciara, expressed his admiration for the R&B icon, saying that collaborating with her was a dream come true. He credits Ciara’s energy, passion, and creativity for elevating the track to new heights, and her unwavering commitment to excellence inspired them to create something magical. Ciara, on the other hand, fell in love with the melodies and catchiness of the song and praised Jackson’s voice and energy, saying that he is infectious and she’s thrilled to be part of his journey.
Recently, Jackson made history at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, becoming the first-ever Chinese solo artist to receive an official invitation from Coachella and perform his set. During the festival, he surprised fans with a performance of “Slow” alongside Ciara. He also trended worldwide on Twitter with the hashtag #JacksonWangCoachella. In 2022, he performed on the main stage as part of 88rising’s “Head In The Clouds Forever” set, becoming the first-ever Chinese solo artist to do so.
Jackson’s sophomore album, “MAGIC MAN”, which features previously released singles “Come Alive,” “Dopamine,” “Blue,” “Cruel” and “Blow,” received widespread critical acclaim and debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s “Top Current Sales” & “Top Album Sales” charts. He launched his first-ever world tour, with sold-out shows in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, London, and Paris, and he’s currently on a limited six-city tour in North America, with plans to perform in South America later this year.
