iWhite Korea, the creators of the best-selling Aqua Moisturizer, have recently introduced a new collection of skincare tools to the market called Aera 사랑. This collection promises to help you achieve light, soft, matte, and moisturized skin.
So, for a whole month, I decided to dive into the world of Aera 사랑 and put all of their products to the test!
From their facial washes to moisturizers and sun tint, I made sure to give each one a fair shot. My goal was to give you all the nitty-gritty details and share the most accurate information on whether AERA 사랑 is worth your investment, especially if you have dry and sensitive skin like me.
AERA Calming Gel Wash
After using the calming gel wash from this skincare line, the first thing I noticed was its incredibly subtle scent, reminiscent of a gentle infant body wash.
This product claims to be gentle and non-stripping, promising to brighten the skin and fade dark marks caused by hyperpigmentation. Having tried it myself, I can confidently say that it lives up to its claims. The formula is truly mild and doesn’t rob your skin of its natural moisture, which is something I highly appreciate.
The key ingredients of this gel wash include Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, as well as some beneficial natural components like Citrus limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Oryza sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, and Ginkgo biloba Leaf Extract.
I find myself reaching for this gel wash most mornings when I simply want to refresh my face without compromising its moisture barrier, which is crucial for protecting my skin throughout the day.
The AERA Calming Gel Wash comes in two sizes: 10 ML for an affordable P36 and 90 ML for P275. You can find it at all Watsons stores.
AERA Pore Clear Foam Wash
Upon using the Pore Clear Foam Wash, what I noticed the most is how refreshingly clean and tight my skin feels. While it’s designed to be a bit more intense than the calming gel wash, I find that it does its job perfectly well, especially if you’ve been out all day and need to remove all the makeup and dirt from your skin during a second cleansing.
The product claims to effectively remove pore-blocking dirt and oil, resulting in tighter skin and less visible pores, ultimately improving your overall complexion.
Its main components include Water, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Lauric Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Beeswax, and it also contains Niacinamide.
Since I wear makeup almost every day for various events and errands, my skin can accumulate a lot of dirt and impurities throughout the day.
So, when I come home exhausted, all I want is to cleanse my face thoroughly. This is where the Pore Clear Foam Wash comes to the rescue. I make sure to use it every night after my oil cleansing routine because I love the clean and fresh feeling it gives my skin.
If you’re interested in trying it out, you can find the AERA Pore Clear Foam Wash available for P39 in a 10 ML size and P299 in a 90 ML size at all Watsons stores near you.
AERA Pore Blur Whitening Moisturizer
Undoubtedly my favorite among the skincare line, the AERA Pore Blur Whitening Moisturizer impressively fulfills its purpose. It has become an essential part of my makeup routine, serving as an ideal skin prep before applying any makeup. This moisturizer lays the foundation for flawless makeup application, making it my go-to for daily use.
Promising to achieve a harmonious balance for the skin without any heaviness, it lives up to its claims by visibly blurring out pores, reducing excess oil, and leaving the skin with a fresh and radiant glow. The key ingredients, including Water, Glycerin, Isohexadecane, Niacinamide, Glyceryl Stearate, and Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, work in harmony to deliver these impressive results.
One of the standout features of this moisturizer is its non-sticky texture, providing a smooth and comfortable application. It effortlessly blurs out my pores, giving my skin a refined appearance. Though it may take a little time to dry, it never feels heavy on the skin, which is a big plus for me.
If you’re interested in trying out this product, it is available in two convenient sizes: 6ML for P40 and 50ML for P308, accessible at all Watsons stores.
AERA All Night Whitening Repair Cream
The AERA all-night whitening repair cream is a suitable option for people with dry and dull skin. However, I have encountered a slight issue with its thickness and heaviness on the skin, making it less suitable for hot and humid climates like the Philippines.
This product claims to offer intensive moisture, help correct dark spots, even out skin tone, slow down aging, smoothen skin texture, and improve dull and dehydrated skin. Its key ingredients include Water, Bambusa vulgaris Sap Extract, Rosa damascena Flower Water, Glycerin, Niacinamide, and Ricinus communis (Castor) Seed Oil.
I find this product works best when applied after using a serum, which is my usual practice. Additionally, it has a subtle scent and leaves my skin with a healthy glow in the morning.
The AERA All Night Whitening Repair Cream comes in two convenient sizes: 6ML for P41 and 50ML for P315, and it can be purchased at all Watsons stores.
AERA Natural BB Sun Tint and the Light BB Sun Tint
The BB sun tint has a thick consistency, yet it feels lightweight upon application. Like many sun tints in the market, it does have a slight white cast, which doesn’t bother me much. However, I do wish there were more shade options available, as I absolutely adore the formulation, but I’m struggling to find the perfect match for my skin tone. The light BB sun tint appears too white with a pink undertone, while the natural one is a bit darker for my skin with the same pink undertone, which isn’t ideal for most Asian skin tones that typically have a yellow undertone.
The product claims to be an everyday and multifunctional BB cream, offering SPF 30 sun protection, hydration, and coverage for a healthy glow. Its composition includes Water, Butylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Glycerin, Dimethicone, and Niacinamide.
One aspect I truly love about this product is its coverage. When used under my concealer, it effectively covers my dark marks and evens out my skin tone.
Additionally, I appreciate the radiant yet non-sticky feeling it provides on my skin. Overall, the formulation is excellent, but I sincerely hope for more inclusive shades to be introduced for this sun tint/BB cream.
The AERA Natural BB Sun Tint and the Light BB Sun Tint are available for only P54 in the 4ML variant, and P319 in the 25ML variant.
Is the AERA 사랑 skin care line worth the money? Yes, it is. Does it work well for dry and sensitive skin? In my case, absolutely.
It’s important to remember that skincare products can vary in their effectiveness depending on your skin type. So, what I highly encourage everyone to do is to figure out what their skin needs.
If you’re looking for a product that delivers a matte yet light, soft, and moisturized skin, the AERA 사랑 line is an excellent option. What’s even better is that all the products from this skincare line are readily available at your nearest Watsons store, making them easily accessible to you.
