The latest wearable from Huawei is the Watch GT 2 Pro. Based from GT2, the previous model, it is a level up in terms of style and build quality while maintaining a long battery life and still delivering great value for money.
The new smartwatch from Huawei has a responsive interface, has retained the internals while the exterior is made from tougher materials.
DESIGN
A standard Qi wireless charging cradle is included. The Huawei Watch GT2 Pro is also compatible with most wireless chargers, thus, losing it should never be a worry.
It exhibits a minimalistic aesthetic design. A borderless dial can be seen behind a Sapphire crystal instead of the usual glass which makes it scratch resistant. Its Titanium body is heavier than its predecessor giving the watch a premium feel while the back plate is made of ceramic, smooth yet considered tough and scratch proof and won’t show signs of wearing even after long use.
It comes in Night Black variant, bearing a Fluoroelastomer rubber strap that has a smooth finish inside and a grippy texture outside and of standard size.
FEATURES
A total of over two hundred watch faces, analog and digital, are now available and the display turns on automatically when you raise your wrist. It can be configured to stay ‘On’ longer or ‘On’ all the time. Sports enthusiasts will be hooked by the 100 types of workout modes. Six of them can be automatically detected and be engaged. The Golf mode monitors your swing and will give pointers on speed attack and angle.
Heart rate and blood oxygen saturation levels can be monitored through the sensors while the workout mode will be able to assess if you should continue, slow down, or stop your activity.
Route back feature gives assistance by recording your trail on a hike while its Barometer sensor warns the user of incoming severe changes in the weather.
With bluetooth connectivity, headphones can be connected so you may listen to songs stored in the smartwatch’s 4GB on-board memory while you’re jogging. Using the same connectivity, answering calls is also possible with the built in microphones and speaker of the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro.
Batteries are meant to last for eight days when the display is always on and if notifications as well as heart rate sensor is on. But, it could reach up to two weeks if they’re off.
