The 680-room Hotel101-Madrid reached two significant milestones as it held its groundbreaking ceremony and signed the construction contract with Ferrovial Construction at Valdebebas, Madrid, Spain.
The Groundbreaking Ceremony was honored by the presence of Rocio Albert Lopez-Ibor, the Minister of Economy, Finance, and Employment of the Region of Madrid, Spain, along with Philippe J. Lhuillier, the Philippine Ambassador to Spain. Leading both activities for Hotel101-Madrid were DoubleDragon Chairman Edgar Injap Sia II, Hotel101 CEO Hannah Yulo-Luccini, and DoubleDragon Co-Chairman Tony Tan Caktiong.
The event also saw the participation of key officers from Ferrovial Construction Group, including Juan Luis Junguito Oppelt, Belen Marquina Susin, and Manuel Angel Sanz Pecharroman.
Ferrovial, a prominent construction company in Spain, is poised to commence full-scale construction of Hotel101-Madrid in April 2024. The project is scheduled for completion by Q4 2025, perfectly timed for the Madrid F1 Grand Prix, conveniently situated adjacent to Hotel101-Madrid.
Situated on a 6,593 square-meter prime commercial property recently acquired by Hotel101 along Avenida Fuerzas Armadas, Valdebebas, Madrid, the 680-room Hotel101-Madrid is set to become one of the top 5 largest hotels in the city. Its strategic location boasts proximity to major landmarks, with just a 3-minute walk to the Valdebebas Train Station, 4 minutes to the IFEMA convention complex, 5 minutes to the Real Madrid Sports Complex, and approximately 7 minutes to the new Madrid Barajas International Airport.
