The victors of the nation’s first idol survival challenge, “Dream Maker,” Dream Chasers Jeromy Batac, Marcus Cabais, Kyler Chua, Vinci Malizon, Reyster Yton, Kim Ng, and Winston Pineda, were hailed on Sunday night (Feb.12).
The seven Dream Chasers who garnered the most support from the general population were formally introduced as HORI7ON. Winning in ABS-CBN’s idol survival competition marks the first step for the seven Dream Chasers in fulfilling their dreams of being an idol. They are set to fly to South Korea to further hone their skills to be the next global pop group.
With the success of the first collaboration project of ABS-CBN, MLD Entertainment, and Kamp Korea, CEO of MLD Entertainment Lee Hyoungjin said that viewers should watch out for the future collaborations they have lined-up for them. He said, “We have a lot of projects we have planned, so please look forward to it.”
Marcus Vinuya, a business unit head for “Dream Maker,” shared what will keep Hori7on busy after winning in the competition. He stated: “Tuloy-tuloy ang training nila rito while waiting for the visa, then they will head to Korea for further training. Eventually, they will debut within the year.”
As the boys vowed to promote Filipino identity to the global stage last Sunday, they also stated that it will be a privilege for Filipinos to have the chance to debut in Korea, but despite all of that they humble themselves and said that they will still keep their feet grounded with the help of their mentors who will guide and remind them all throughout their journey.
In response to inquiries on how will they promote Filipino culture to global stage aside from their nationality, Jeromy stated: “Gusto ko po yung ginawa ni kuya Felip or Ken ng SB19. Yung parang inano niya po yung pagka-bisaya niya sa song niya po. Then, parang gusto ko po gawin ‘yon kapag nag-debut na po kami or gumawa na po kami ng kanta.”
They also showcased their talent in live vocals by singing their original song “SALAMAT”, it is a song for their fans who supported and believed them throughout their journey as Dream Chasers.
