The Electron College of Technical Education (Electron) celebrated its 12th Founding Anniversary and Sports Competition on December 19, 2014 at the ground floor of SM Novaliches. This coincided with the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Electron’s newest branch, which can be found on the 2nd floor of SM Novaliches.
Congressman Samuel D. Pagdilao, Jr., the guest of honor that day, shared some tips with Electron’s students during his speech. He said that hard work, thorough preparation, the right attitude, and seeking God’s guidance are the keys to a successful life. And he should know, because he’s a lawyer, a cop, a congressman, and a family man all rolled into one.
He also revealed that when he asked Dr. Dominador (Dennis) V. Solis, PhD, the President, CEO, and Founder of Electron, what the man’s secret to success was, Dennis immediately answered that it was his wife, Mrs. Lea G. Solis. Anyone watching the couple closely will definitely see how much they love and care for each other.
The event was also graced by Congressman Alfredo D. Vargas III, a.k.a. Alfred Vargas. His movie-scene-worthy entrance consisted of him waving to the screaming fans on the ground floor as the escalator took him to the 2nd floor of the mall, where Electron’s newest branch is located. He then took the time to greet another batch of fans, before going into Electron’s office to try the buffet that awaited him inside.
Rotary Club members were also present during the occasion. As a token of thanks, Electron gave away calendars and bags to their students and guests.
