As the April 26, 2023 deadline for SIM registration compliance approaches, Globe Stores and Easy Hubs are prepared to offer assistance to customers who may require help in registering their SIMs. According to Cleo Santos, Head of Globe Channel Marketing Group, 147 Globe stores and 25 Easy Hubs across the country are ready to serve mobile and broadband customers who require help in complying with the SIM Registration Act.
While Globe has seen a steady increase in registered subscribers, they recognize that some customers may still require assistance. Therefore, in their commitment to provide excellent service, Globe Stores and Easy Hubs are open to assisting customers who require help with SIM registration.
Globe has launched several initiatives to facilitate SIM registration, including 24/7 registration through their SIM registration website and the GlobeOne app. Additionally, they launched National SIM Registration Week, which rolled out over 500 SIM Registration Assistance Desks across the country, including remote areas and locations known to have a high concentration of basic phone users.
Globe has logged 23.48 million SIM registrations as of April 2, with an estimated 86.7 million SIMs under their network. The SIM Registration Act’s goal is to help curb scams and cybercrime by requiring all local SIMs to be registered by April 26, 2023. Unregistered SIMs will be deactivated after the deadline.
To facilitate the registration of more customers, especially in remote areas, Globe has participated in several rounds of on-ground SIM Registration Assistance led by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). They have also partnered with local government units, groceries, and malls to set up assisted registration booths in over 100 sites nationwide and provided on-site assistance in major festivals. Customers can find a list of SIM Registration Assistance sites on the Globe website.
Must join the Week and leave your mark in this initiative. Together, let’s move forward toward a protective future. Quickly, register your SIM today and involve in this historic plan.
The proactive approach by Globe and Easy Hubs highlights the importance of collaboration between private companies and government agencies to address large-scale compliance efforts like SIM registration. Their multi-channel strategy, including physical assistance desks and online platforms, sets a great example of how businesses can effectively cater to diverse customer needs while supporting national objectives to combat cybercrime and scams.
