In response to the overwhelming enthusiasm, Globe is extending the #SeniorDigizen: Teach Me How To ‘Digi’ TikTok contest until October 8, 2023, perfectly aligning with the nation’s Elderly Week celebrations. This means you have more time to create those memorable videos and share heartwarming moments with your beloved Lolo and Lola!
Launched on September 10, 2023, as a tribute to Grandparents Day, the #SeniorDigizen challenge has been a delightful blend of humor and nostalgia. It has brought together Gen Z and millennials to create TikTok videos showcasing their grandparents’ or parents’ journey into the digital world. Impressively, the campaign quickly amassed 2 million views on TikTok.
“We are delighted by the overwhelming response to the #SeniorDigizen campaign. This extension not only invites more families to participate but also underscores our commitment to promoting digital literacy among our senior citizens. It’s heartwarming to witness the younger generation guiding their elders through the digital landscape, thereby bridging the generation gap,” shared Yoly Crisanto, Globe Group Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer.
The top 25 entries will receive PHP25,000 worth of Globe Group products and have the opportunity to enjoy up to PHP75,000 worth of goodies as part of a two-month ambassadorship program. Winning grandparents can also look forward to engaging learning sessions as a part of the #SeniorDigizen Ambassador program.
