The M6 World Championship (M6) is set to be #GreaterThanEver! MOONTON Games, the developer and publisher of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), recently held the highly anticipated M6 tournament draw, announcing exciting new partnerships with the Malaysian government, carnival activities, and even an orchestral performance by the Kuala Lumpur Orchestra. Supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), Esports Integrated (ESI), and the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), the “M6 Unveiling: Greater Than Ever” event was held at the Spacerubix sports complex in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and broadcasted live to millions around the world.
As the premier event in mobile esports, the M Series continues to capture the global esports audience, with the M6 edition drawing particular excitement. The tournament will feature the top 23 MLBB teams from around the world, battling it out in Kuala Lumpur for the ultimate prize—part of the USD 1 million prize pool.
During the live M6 draw at the “M6 Unveiling: Greater Than Ever” event, the eight teams from the Wild Card Stage (taking place from November 21 to 24) and 15 teams from the Main Stage (scheduled from November 28 to December 15) learned their match-ups. Fans are particularly eager to see the highly anticipated clash between the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Indonesia Season 14 champions, Team Liquid ID, and MPL Philippines Season 14 champions, Fnactic ONIC PH, in the first round of the Swiss Stage. Both teams are tournament favorites, making this showdown a must-watch, with one team set to gain early momentum and bragging rights.

MOONTON Games has revealed that the Grand Finals of the M6 World Championship will kick off with a spectacular orchestral performance by the Kuala Lumpur Orchestra, marking a first for MLBB esports. This groundbreaking performance is the result of a collaboration with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, DBKL) and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
In addition to featuring the world’s top MLBB talent, the M6 World Championship will host a vibrant carnival at the Axiata Arena from December 13 to 15. The event will offer a variety of family-friendly booths and activities. Best of all, entry to the carnival will be free, with more information on registration to be shared soon.
Fans can look forward to the exciting “M6LAYSIA MEMBARA” event at Bukit Bintang on the morning of November 30. During the event, popular Malaysian personalities such as Soloz, Alieff Irfan, Hairul Azreen, Ryan Bakery, Zizan Razak, and Zubir Khan, along with Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Adam Adli, will participate in a torch-passing ceremony at Lot 10, resembling the Olympic Torch Relay. This marks the grand finale of the #M6laysiakuGemilang campaign, which encourages Malaysians to rally behind their respective states, each represented by a local figure.
Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Adam Adli, delivered a speech at the event, highlighting the growing influence of esports. He remarked, “Esports has seen remarkable growth both globally and here in Malaysia. Our gaming industry has experienced an average annual growth of 8.9% since 2020, with more than 50% of Malaysians now actively involved as gamers. This vibrant ecosystem offers diverse career paths, from professional players to team owners, content creators, and event organizers.”
He cited Soloz as a key example for those aspiring to join the esports industry, noting, “A prime example is our own Soloz – a former national MLBB player, now the most-watched Malaysian creator and co-owner of Team Vamos, who will proudly represent Malaysia at M6.”
The Deputy Minister expressed his strong support for MOONTON Games and the M6, affirming that “the government is committed to supporting esports companies, ensuring that Malaysians can fully embrace the opportunities this dynamic industry offers.”
His remarks align with the Malaysian government’s recent announcement of a MYR 20 million allocation in the Madani Budget 2025 to strengthen the esports ecosystem. “This investment follows the success of the Selangor Red Giants at the Mid-Season Cup 2024 in Saudi Arabia, where they claimed Malaysia’s first major international MLBB title,” he added. He emphasized that the government’s commitment to supporting the esports sector will ensure that Malaysia continues to produce world-class talent and remains competitive on the international stage.
Meanwhile, the Philippines will send its MPL Philippines champions and runner-ups, Fnatic ONIC PH (FNOP) and Aurora MLBB (RORA), to compete in the world’s biggest MLBB esports tournament of the year, as they vie for the prestigious 5th world championship title.
