The top finance super app bags four awards including Employer of the Year
GCash has once again received well-deserved recognition for its exceptional human resource management practices, securing four prestigious awards at the recently concluded 2nd Annual HR Excellence Awards in the Philippines. This event, hosted by Human Resources Online, based in Singapore, celebrates outstanding institutions across Asia, including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, which have demonstrated commendable programs in employee management. A panel of experts and thought leaders in the field of human resources thoroughly reviewed and judged the entries.
The fintech company earned a silver award for Excellence in Leadership Development, highlighting GCash’s “Uplifting Leadership” program—an initiative grounded in empathetic leadership and the promotion of psychological safety.
Another silver accolade was bestowed upon GCash for Excellence in Total Rewards Strategy, recognizing the extensive array of reward programs and initiatives tailored for its employees. These initiatives reflect a reward philosophy that values individual contributions to the organization and includes corporate and long-term incentive plans, enhancements in employee benefits such as transportation, wellness, and calamity allowances, as well as flexible benefits.
GCash also received two bronze awards: one for Excellence in Talent Acquisition, underscoring the company’s streamlined hiring process, reinforced application tracking system, and organizational structure; and the highly coveted “Employer of the Year” award.
Furthermore, GCash emerged as a finalist in three additional categories: Excellence in Employee Engagement, Best HR Team, and HR Leader of the Year, with Robert Conrad Gonzales, GCash’s Chief People Officer, nominated in the latter category.
Expressing his delight, Gonzales remarked, “We are thrilled to receive this set of awards, which recognize our people-centric initiatives for the G Nation barkada. These nominations and wins underscore our company’s commitment to becoming the best employer possible. They reflect our relentless pursuit of excellence, unwavering dedication to creating an exceptional workplace, and, of course, our ability to positively impact the lives of the people behind our brand—our most valuable asset.”
These recent achievements firmly establish GCash as a leader not only in fintech innovations but also in human resources. In recent months, the organization has garnered other notable accolades, such as being ranked as the second-best workplace for career growth in the Philippines by LinkedIn, recognition as one of the best employers by HR Asia’s Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2023, and the prestigious Great Place to Work Certification.
