Tokyo, February 26, 2020, FUJIFILM Corporation is pleased to announce the launch of instax mini 11 on or after March 5, 2020, a stylish renewal of the globally most popular mini format entry model*1. It will be a new addition to the instax series of instant cameras, allowing users to enjoy on-the-spot photo printing.
The instax series of instant cameras, launched in 1998, now offers a wide variety of models that cater to diverse user needs in over 100 countries worldwide, including Japan, Europe, Americas, China, and Southeast Asia. The series has gained popularity especially among young people, who love being able to print and share a precious moment on the spot, and feel a special sense of connection with friends when sharing photo prints with them.
The new mini 11 is the first entry model to feature the “Automatic Exposure” function, in which the camera automatically senses the level of ambient light when the shutter button is pressed and optimizes the shutter speed and flash output according to the condition.
The camera body has been redesigned for optimal portability along with a fresh, trendy look. In addition to it being thinner and lighter than the previous model, the mini 11 sports a rounded body design that fits perfectly in users’ hands for added operability.
The mini 11 is available in five pale tone colors (Blush Pink, Sky Blue, Charcoal Gray, Ice White, and Lilac Purple). The camera also comes with two replaceable accessories for the shutter button to change the button’s looks according to users’ preferences.
About the promotion campaign
Since the fall of 2019, Fujifilm has been running a global promotional campaign for the instax brand, communicating the unique value of instax prints under the tagline of “Don’t Just Take, Give.” The mini 11 will also be promoted globally under the same concept online, on social media and in stores as an all-new instax that is more beautiful, easier and more in tune with each user’s preference than ever before.
