Encouraged by the positive feedback, Chef Lolit expanded her offerings, introducing specialties such as gambas al ajillo, Iberian chicken, and her signature beef salpicao to a wider audience through online orders. Her dishes became a source of comfort and connection, helping people maintain a sense of normalcy during challenging times.

After a brief stint in a local hotel kitchen, Chef Lolit returned to her entrepreneurial roots, teaming up with fellow foodie and business enthusiast Che Manalang. Together, they’ve transformed 12F Kitchen into a thriving enterprise, serving a diverse menu that caters to all tastes.

“I find immense joy in making people happy through food,” shares Chef Lolit. “With my background in hospitality and my love for experimenting with recipes, I’ve crafted a menu that offers something for everyone—whether they crave Asian or Western flavors.”

Spreading the Word

While Chef Lolit excels in the kitchen, spreading the word about 12F Kitchen’s offerings was a challenge. Enter Che, who leveraged her experience in hospitality and aviation to develop effective marketing strategies.

“The first time I tasted Chef Lolit’s dishes—especially her flavorful paella, creamy pumpkin bisque, and rich burnt cheesecake—I knew I had to join her team,” says Che. “We’ve since opened a restaurant in Makati to serve the bustling office crowd and local residents, offering both dine-in and delivery options.”
