Prime Video has revealed the premiere date for Fit Check: Confessions of An Ukay Queen, an original comedy-drama series, along with the release of its official trailer. The show, consisting of eight episodes, is a collaboration between ABS-CBN Entertainment, Dreamscape Entertainment, and Prime Video. Fit Check: Confessions of An Ukay Queen will exclusively premiere on July 6 on Prime Video in the Philippines and over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The series features a talented cast including Kim Chiu, Jake Ejercito, Angel Aquino, Kylie Verzosa, and Christopher De Leon. Nuel Naval, known for his work on Family Matters and The Love Affair, directed the series, which was written by Genesis Rodriguez.
The story revolves around Melanie (Kim Chiu), who sells secondhand clothes known as “ukay.” Abandoned by her mother as an infant, Melanie aspires to become a successful fashion designer, hoping to prove her worth and make her mother regret leaving her. Her life takes a turn when she catches the attention of Chris (Jake Ejercito), a charming fashion executive who recognizes her talent. As Melanie enters the fast-paced and competitive world of the Filipino fashion industry, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, forgiveness, and the possibility of finding true love.
