First Travel Booking Platform Owned by Filipinos, Catering to Filipino Travelers

The Happy Hotels app, the first Filipino-owned travel booking platform, has announced its official launch, offering both local and foreign travelers the ease and convenience of booking accommodations across the country at their fingertips. The app features various types of lodging to cater to different preferences and budgets, providing a seamless and hassle-free experience for customers. Its “Near Me” section enables users to browse the nearest accommodations available in their current location.

Emmanuel Jason Lao, Happy Hotels CEO, emphasized the platform’s dedication to empowering local business owners and their workforce by providing them with a means to expand their market and reach more customers. The app’s tagline, “Share Happy Moments with Happy Hotels,” embodies the company’s commitment to delivering a memorable experience that will stay with guests long after their stay.

Happy Hotels offers a variety of destinations throughout the Philippines, including popular spots such as Boracay, Siargao, Tagaytay, Metro Manila, and Cebu, promoting and supporting the local tourism industry while providing more Filipinos and tourists with a seamless and efficient way to book their travel accommodations.

The platform has already partnered with over 100 properties throughout the country, with plans to acquire 500 hotels, dormitels, and BnBs per year. In addition, Happy Hotels will donate 5-10% from each user’s booking fee proceeds to their charity of choice available in the charity options menu.

The Happy Hotels app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store, and users can enjoy promotional discounts at various accommodations. The grand launch was held at Vue Tagaytay Boutique Residences and sponsored by Mei Wei Chinese Kitchen and Antidote Gin.
