“It’s always been a dream of mine to record our songs live, because we’re always rearranging songs as a bans, and I think there’s something special that gets captured when we play live together” Barbie shares.

As Barbie looks over the years, she explained, “I didn’t have so many plans growing up, but always just dreamt of playing music. I’m so grateful that I get to do this and share the experience with others too.” Barbie shares her heart-felt thoughts, “I’m always touched by the support of my fans and friends, and really humbled and encouraged by their words and stories about how these songs have also become part of their journey.”
And during her press conference last February 22, Barbie also says as an inspiration to young musicians,
“First of all, music is a gift. Music can be played in many ways – you can be a professional musician or a musician at home.. It really is such a great source of joy. There’s such a euphoric feeling na nakatapos ka ng song — masaya talaga siya hindi nawawala ang saya pag nakakagawa ng music. I think that should be the first and foremost that you know you’re really enjoying just the process itself. At the same time, you can create your own team or you can do it on your own — like out there, collborwith people. Aside from the music itself, what’s most important is the relationship that you share with people as you journey together. Sometimes there’s a right place and right time, –sometimes what you do is celebrate then sometimes hindi [with the people you work with]. You just gotta keep on going and keep finding that joy in you.
Continue being a music fan, every musician here started out as a music fan.. When you start asa music fan, you start finding inspiration so you really have to continue being a fan. Make it an effort to encourage other musicians especially sa atin sa Philippines – kasi I always really say na when the tide rises it lifts all the boats. So for me, I’m so grateful for friends in the music industry who -go out all the way to support each other.
Get out of the mindset that all of you are in a competition. Kasi when you decide to become a musician you don’t really want to join a contest, minsan gusto lang natin magsulat at tumugtog.
[Kasi] sa totoo lang, we need it – we need the support and encouragement [from one another].”
