FedEx Enhances Export Capabilities for Filipino Businesses

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), a global leader in express transportation, has introduced new export permit services at select 2GO outlets nationwide. Designed to simplify the export process, this initiative provides small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and e-commerce retailers with seamless access to essential permits required for shipping specific goods internationally.

The service covers a diverse range of products, including:

  • Fish and Fishery Products: Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) permits for live, fresh, dried, frozen, and chilled items.
  • Magnetic Media Storage Devices: Optical Media Board (OMB) certifications for USB drives, hard disks, and similar devices.
  • Consumer Products: Food and Drug Authority (FDA) permits for items like medical drugs, food supplements, medical devices, soaps, creams, and toothpaste.
  • Repair and Return Goods: Certificates of Identification for products shipped for repair and return.
  • Certificates of Origin: Documentation available upon request to ensure export compliance for shippers or consignees.

This enhanced service is a significant step in addressing the regulatory challenges faced by SMEs and e-tailers. By bridging knowledge gaps and streamlining compliance with export requirements, FedEx empowers businesses to confidently navigate international trade. The initiative enables enterprises to focus on growth while ensuring efficient delivery of products to global markets.
