The young telco dominated 14 categories, surpassing the country’s two major telecom giants in the speed race.

According to Opensignal’s October 2024 Mobile Network Experience Report, DITO emerged as the most awarded network, excelling in multiple categories. It was recognized as the fastest in 5G speeds and overall network performance, setting a new benchmark for the telco industry.

Speed Leadership Across the Board
DITO swept all four speed awards, showcasing unmatched performance across overall and 5G categories. The telco delivered a 5G download speed of 287.2 Mbps, nearly doubling Smart’s 147.5 Mbps and significantly outpacing Globe’s 95.2 Mbps. DITO also led in overall download speed, averaging 34.6 Mbps, ahead of Smart at 28.6 Mbps and Globe at 20.9 Mbps.

2024: A Breakthrough Year for DITO
This year has been pivotal for DITO, with key milestones including:

  • Completing its fifth and final technical audit, achieving 86.3% network coverage.
  • Reaching a subscriber base of 14 million users.
  • Winning back-to-back Ookla awards as the #1 Rated Mobile Network in the country for Q3-Q4 2023 and Q1-Q2 2024.
