Dusit Hotels and Resorts, the hotel division of Dusit International, one of Thailand’s premier hotel and property development companies, has announced the appointment of key leaders to spearhead the grand reopening of its iconic Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel. After an extensive transformation, the flagship property will open its doors on September 27, 2024.
Ms. Somruedee Getwansopon joins as Executive Assistant Manager of Rooms, bringing her extensive experience from luxury brands like Kempinski Hotels and Okura Hotels & Resorts. She will oversee the guest room experience, ensuring every detail embodies Dusit’s signature Thai-inspired hospitality, providing exceptional comfort and convenience.
In Sales & Marketing, Ms. Nuengruethai Sa-nguansakpakdee has been appointed Director of Sales and Distribution. Previously the Group Director of Sales & Marketing at 137 Pillars Hotels & Resorts in Bangkok, she brings a wealth of experience from senior roles in five-star hotels and resorts across Thailand. She will manage all aspects of sales, revenue management, and distribution for Dusit Thani Bangkok.
Supporting her efforts is Mr. Peeradej Charoendireksup, the new Director of Marketing. With a background in marketing and communications at Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, Centara Hotels & Resorts, and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Mr. Charoendireksup will lead Dusit Thani Bangkok’s strategic marketing and communication initiatives.
The hotel’s dining experiences will be overseen by Mr. Jonathan Forestier, Director of Food & Beverage. With over a decade of experience with luxury brands like Sofitel and Anantara, he will lead the food and beverage team to deliver memorable culinary experiences.
This new leadership team will collaborate with Managing Director Mr. Adrian Rudin, an industry veteran with over thirty years of experience at renowned hotels like Shangri-La and Kempinski Hotels. Mr. Rudin emphasized, “This talented team reinforces our solid groundwork and ensures we honor and build upon the legacy of the original Dusit Thani Bangkok. We are committed to delivering exceptional experiences with luxurious accommodations, innovative dining, and a transformative urban wellness concept.”
The reimagined Dusit Thani Bangkok will be located in the same prime spot as the original, which stood from 1970 to 2019. The new hotel will be a centerpiece of Dusit Central Park, a landmark mixed-use development that will also include ultra-luxury residences, a state-of-the-art office tower, a high-end retail center, and a 11,200 sq m Roof Park, all set to open in 2025.
Featuring 257 elegantly designed rooms, including suites crafted by the renowned Asian interior design firm André Fu Studio, the new Dusit Thani Bangkok offers expansive spaces starting at 50 sq m. Floor-to-ceiling windows and window seating in every room provide stunning views of Lumpini Park, blending tranquility with luxury.
The hotel will also introduce a unique urban wellness concept, elevated dining experiences with renowned chefs, a multi-level rooftop bar created with award-winning mixologists, and expansive banquet and meeting facilities. The grand ballroom, one of the largest in Bangkok, boasts an eight-meter-high ceiling and panoramic views of Lumpini Park, alongside diverse meeting spaces for various events. This new standard in service, design, and guest experience will set a benchmark for Dusit Hotels and Resorts globally.
