Representatives from selected Dusit Hotels and Resorts in China, the Maldives, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the UAE, and Vietnam highlighted their respective offerings at special events held in Beijing and Shanghai at the end of June.
Dusit International, a leading hotel and property development company in Thailand, recently showcased its growing collection of Dusit Hotels and Resorts in China and other global destinations during a successful two-city event called the ‘China Roadshow.’ The roadshow, held in Beijing and Shanghai on June 27 and 30 respectively, targeted prominent trade partners and media representatives.
Headed by Mr. Nichlas Maratos, VP – Commercial at Dusit International, the delegation included sales executives from Dusit Hotels and Resorts in various countries such as China, the Maldives, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the UAE, and Vietnam. Additionally, leaders from the Global Sales Offices presented Dusit’s broader portfolio, highlighting the brand’s unique Thai-inspired gracious hospitality and its commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to Chinese travelers.
The presentations focused on Dusit’s four pillars of graciousness, namely Service (personalized and gracious), Locality (connecting guests with the local community), Well-being (offering wellness experiences beyond the spa), and Sustainability (social, economic, environmental). Attendees gained insights into how each property incorporates these pillars to provide distinct Thai-inspired offerings that cater to the discerning preferences of Chinese travelers. Special highlights included the group-wide Devarana Wellness concept, addressing shared guest concerns such as destressing, detoxification, and rejuvenating sleep, as well as exceptional dining experiences featuring authentic local cuisine prepared with premium local ingredients.
The roadshow also introduced an impressive lineup of new and upcoming properties worldwide. This included recently opened establishments like ASAI Bangkok Chinatown, the first hotel under the vibrant lifestyle brand ASAI Hotels, located in Bangkok’s renowned Chinatown district; Dusit Hotel and Suites Doha, the company’s third hotel in Qatar; and Dusit Thani Tianmu Mountain Hangzhou, a luxury wellness-focused resort offering deluxe spa experiences.
The presentations further highlighted forthcoming openings in the first half of 2023, such as Dusit Suites Athens (Dusit’s first European hotel); Dusit Princess Hotel Residences Nairobi (a unique hybrid property in Nairobi’s cosmopolitan Westlands neighborhood); ASAI Kyoto Shijo (Dusit’s inaugural hotel in Japan); ASAI Bangkok Sathorn (the second ASAI-branded hotel near Bangkok’s central business district); and dusitD2 Samyan Bangkok (the first dusitD2-branded hotel in the city).
Additionally, attendees were introduced to upcoming properties set to soft open in the near future, including the wellness-focused Dusit Thani Mogan Mountain in Huzhou (slated for July), Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort Dhulikhel and Dusit Princess Kathmandu (both opening in Nepal in July), Dusit Thani Kyoto (Dusit’s second hotel in Japan, opening in September), Dusit Princess Serviced Suites Kolkata and dusitD2 Fagu, Shimla (both opening in India in Q4), and Dusit Princess Phatthalung (expanding Dusit’s presence in the South of Thailand, scheduled for Q4). The team also unveiled plans for two more wellness-oriented properties opening in China in Q4: Dusit Devarana Hangzhou and Dusit Princess Suites Hotel Ganzhou.
These new additions will expand Dusit’s global portfolio to a total of 62 hotels operating across 17 countries, offering approximately 13,700 rooms. With over 60 properties in the pipeline, expected to open within the next three to four years, Dusit International’s growth trajectory remains robust.
Highlighting the company’s commitment to the Chinese market, which plays a vital role in Dusit Hotels and Resorts globally, the team emphasized their dedication to enhancing services, experiences, and activities for Chinese travelers. They also expressed their vision of opening more properties throughout China.
Mr. Maratos stated, “With ten Dusit Hotels and Resorts already operating in China and Chinese travelers being among the top source markets for our properties worldwide, China holds great importance for our business. We remain committed to sustainable expansion in the country and enhancing our services for Chinese guests worldwide. This roadshow signifies our dedication to fostering lasting relationships with partners and guests.
