Hot on the heels of debuting in Europe in March with the opening of Dusit Suites Athens in Greece’s beautiful capital, and returning to Kenya with Dusit Princess Hotel Residences Nairobi, the company is set to expand its global footprint even further this year with strategic openings in more key destinations worldwide.
Dusit International, a prominent Thai hotel and property development company, is set to showcase its growing portfolio of international properties at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023. The event, held from 1-4 May at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will feature Dusit International’s first-ever hotels in Europe, Japan, and Nepal.
Led by Mr. Nichlas Maratos, Vice President Commercial of Dusit International, and Mr. Bandar Qaqish, Director of Sales, Middle East, the Dusit team will include representatives from existing Dusit properties such as Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, Dusit Thani Dubai, Dusit Doha Hotel, dusitD2 Naseem Resort Jabal Akhdar in Oman, Dusit Thani LakeView Cairo, Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, and Dusit Thani Maldives.
During the event, the team will highlight Dusit’s exceptional services, guest experiences, and MICE offerings, all designed around the four pillars of Dusit Graciousness: Service (personalized and gracious), Locality (connecting guests with the local community), Well-being (offering wellness experiences beyond the spa), and Sustainability (embracing social, economic, and environmental aspects). Additionally, the team will share exciting details about the latest additions to the Dusit family.
This includes recently opened properties such as Dusit Hotel and Suites Doha (Dusit’s third hotel in Qatar) and Dusit Thani Tianmu Mountain Hangzhou (Dusit’s 11th hotel in China). Furthermore, 14 properties are scheduled to open this year across China, Europe, India, Kenya, Nepal, Thailand, and Japan.
Among the recent openings, two properties debuted in March. Dusit Princess Hotel Residences Nairobi, a unique hybrid property located in Nairobi’s Westlands neighborhood, and Dusit Suites Athens, the first Dusit hotel in Europe, situated in Glyfada, a picturesque suburb in the Athens Riviera.
Dusit’s expansion continues with upcoming openings such as ASAI Bangkok Sathorn and dusitD2 Samyan Bangkok in Thailand, as well as Dusit Princess Patthalung, a stunning resort in southern Thailand. The company will also venture into Japan with ASAI Kyoto Shijo and Dusit Thani Kyoto, both located in the historic city of Kyoto. Additionally, Dusit will make its entry into Nepal with Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort Dhulikhel and Dusit Princess Kathmandu. Furthermore, Dusit Hotels and Resorts will return to India with Dusit Princess Serviced Suites Kolkata and dusitD2 Fagu, Shimla.
In China, where Dusit already operates 11 hotels, the company recently opened the first phase of Dusit Thani Mogan Mountain in Huzhou. Two more wellness-oriented properties, Dusit Devarana Hangzhou and Dusit Princess Suites Hotel Ganzhou, are set to open soon.
In total, approximately 1,700 keys will be added to Dusit’s global portfolio this year, resulting in 62 hotels operating across 17 countries, offering around 13,700 keys. Moreover, over 60 properties are currently in the pipeline and expected to open within the next three-to-four years.
