Actor Donny Pangilinan, the real-life Deib Lohr Enrile from the best-selling novel “He’s Into Her,” the first episode to air tonight on iWantTFC.
Way back in 2018, Donny quoted a tweet from Maxine Lat A.K.A. maxinejiji, the famous Pinoy author from Wattpad and Precious Pages-LIB, saying that he wanted to work with her someday.
Donny was reminded of this tweet while on the first general assembly of He’s Into Her and retweeted it the day before the much-awaited airing of He’s Into Her’s first episode.
“There were some people sending me messages na, ‘sana ikaw maging Deib.’ At that time, I had no idea what they were talking about. And then until one time, may nagpakita sa’kin ng book, and they were telling me about Deib,” Donny said.
Four years ago, Donny didn’t had any idea he will be portraying Deib.
In preparation for his role, Donny had his own way to be the Deib that fans and readers are expecting.
“Sometimes, na-ffeel ko talaga yung role ni Deib. Kunwari nasa make-up room kami, I really won’t mind anyone. I didn’t tell anyone but I was doing it for the first couple of weeks and read a lot of the book so I could get the feels. And it was all about teamwork,” he explained.
“I agree with what Direk Chad said, it’s pressuring but it also means you really love your work,” Donny explained.
With the pressure, Donny, Belle and the other casts did all their best to portray their roles in this series.
