From the director of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” comes a third season of the major medical drama that has taken Korea by storm
The highly anticipated third season of the popular Korean medical drama, “Dr. Romantic 3,” will soon be available for streaming on Disney+. The series follows the story of Boo Yongjoo, a renowned surgeon who abandons his prestigious position at a top medical center in Seoul to work at Doldam Hospital, a rural facility in a remote province.
Starring Han Sukkyu as Boo Yongjoo, the show’s only surgeon to become triple board certified in general surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, and emergency medicine, “Dr. Romantic 3” promises to be as captivating as ever. In addition to new doctors and an intriguing new antagonist, the upcoming season will feature a compelling romance.
The series also stars Ahn Hyoseop as Seo Woojin, a slandered doctor trying to rebuild his life under Yongjoo’s mentorship, and Lee Sungkyung as Cha Eunjae, a second-year surgery fellow who frequently competes with Woojin but struggles with surgery. The show is written by Kang Eunkyung and Lim Hyemin and directed by Yoo Inshik and Kang Boseung.
The new season is set to debut in late April, with new episodes to be released every Friday and Saturday. Fans of “Dr. Romantic” can also enjoy other shows on Disney+, including “Call It Love,” about a girl who seeks revenge but falls in love with her intended victim; “Soundtrack #1,” about two friends secretly in love with each other, and “Big Bet,” about a serial entrepreneur whose life is turned upside down when he is arrested for murder.
