Disney+ has exciting news for fans of Ember and Wade, the dynamic characters from Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental.” The original feature film is set to premiere on Disney+ next week, starting on September 13th. Carl’s Date
Written and directed by Academy Award® nominee and Emmy® Award winner Bob Peterson, with Kim Collins as the producer, “Carl’s Date” unfolds as Carl reluctantly agrees to embark on a date with a lady friend, despite being utterly clueless about modern dating norms. Dug, ever the helpful and loyal friend, steps in to ease Carl’s pre-date anxiety and imparts some tried-and-true advice on making friends—albeit from a dog’s perspective. This new short film, which made its theatrical debut in front of “Elemental” on June 16, joins the existing collection of shorts titled “Dug Days.” These shorts chronicle the comical misadventures of the endearing pup with the state-of-the-art collar and are currently available for streaming on Disney+.
