Notably, Disney+ clinched the coveted Best Drama Series award for its Korean tentpole series, Big Bet. This momentous occasion was a significant milestone for the industry, as BSA is Korea’s first-ever industry award that recognizes outstanding stories and talent across various streaming platforms.
Big Bet, a thrilling crime action series with a dedicated fan base spanning two seasons, stars the renowned actor Choi Minsik and was honored with not only the Best Drama Series award but also the Best Supporting Male Actor award for Lee Donghwi’s exceptional performance. The second season, premiering to resounding success, quickly surpassed its predecessor as the most-watched locally produced original series on Disney+ in Korea.
The accolades continued with Shin Yeeun receiving the Best Female Newcomer award for her remarkable role in Revenge of Others, a gripping thriller series where she portrays a student determined to uncover the truth behind her brother’s mysterious death. Additionally, Lee Kwangsoo was recognized with the Popular Actor award for his delightful performance in the hilarious K-variety show, The Zone: Survival Mission.
