Darren Espanto and Cassy Legaspi recently had the incredible opportunity to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of “Elemental” during their visit to Pixar Animation Studios in California. The talented duo shared their exciting journey on their social media platforms, captivating fans with their behind-the-scenes adventures.
Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental” introduces audiences to Ember, a spirited and sharp-witted young woman, whose friendship with the easygoing and free-spirited Wade challenges her perceptions of the world they inhabit.
During their tour of Pixar Animation Studios, Darren and Cassy showcased their acting talents as they tried their hand at voice acting, bringing the characters of Wade and Ember to life. The video documenting their experience can be enjoyed here.
Furthermore, Darren and Cassy delved into the intricate process of filmmaking, learning how to sketch the beloved “Elemental” characters and conducting interviews with the talented filmmakers, animators, and Filipino artists who played a crucial role in bringing the story to the big screen. Among them were director Peter Sohn, Aylwin Villanueva, Sets Technical Lead, and Ronnie del Carmen, the voice actor behind Bernie Lumen, Ember’s father.
Taking full advantage of their visit, Darren and Cassy also had the chance to explore the Pixar Studios’ Art Gallery and Campus Studio, where they encountered more beloved Pixar characters and celebrated films.
Directed by Peter Sohn, produced by Denise Ream, p.g.a., and executive produced by Pete Docter, “Elemental” features a screenplay by John Hoberg & Kat Likkel and Brenda Hsueh, with a captivating original score composed and conducted by Thomas Newman. The highly anticipated film will be exclusively released in theaters on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
