DANI ZAM Delves into “BESO,” Melodic Reflection on What Ifs

Emerging singer-songwriter Dani Zam delves into the intricacies of why friendships often stay in the realm of camaraderie rather than evolving into romantic connections, along with the lingering “what ifs,” in her fresh single titled “Beso.” This musical creation is set to make its debut on various music platforms this coming Friday (August 18).

Reflecting on her inspiration, Dani expressed, “I think I wanted to start with a song that anybody, whatever gender, race, age could relate to. The concept of ‘hanggang beso’ is so heartrending, so distinctly Filipino and familiar, and I want the listeners to connect with that experience, especially because it’s so deeply human and uncomplicated.”

Growing up in a family of musicians, Dani’s passion for music blossomed naturally. Her musical journey involved exploring a diverse range of genres and admiring icons like Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, and JoJo. In 2021, as a self-taught guitarist and producer, she unveiled her debut EP “EDEN,” featuring tracks like “Say It” and “Made of Love.” Through her musical endeavors, Dani aims to empower listeners to articulate themselves and lead their lives with boldness.

Dani also shared her artistic vision for “Beso,” which signifies her inaugural release under Tarsier Records. She stated, “The song has a catchy hook, possessing that undeniable earworm potential. The kind of tune that lingers in your mind during a commute or a sluggish workday. The track that you groove to with friends at a bar, or rhythmically nod along to during a weekend road trip, or even make the backdrop for your latest TikTok video.”
