The Earth Day Jam Street Party was a blast! Thousands of people gathered near the corner of 9th and 34th Street at Bonifacio Global City to celebrate in advance Earth Day and party at the street.
The event was hosted by Issa Litton, Monica Llamas, and Alvin Anson.
It was not only a night of music and fun but also of commitment and education on how to love back mother earth. There were “green” marshals that went around to get people’s commitment on paper on how they can help conserve the environment. There were pledges of using public transport, turning off electricity when not in use, to funny pledges like taking showers together to conserve water.
A few of the crowd who pledge where called to the stage or interviewed about their pledges and given tree seedlings to plant in their backyards.
Some of the representatives from different environmental groups spoke in between the artist transition. Some of those who came were from the Firefly Brigade (cycling advocacy), some from the Manila Zoo and responsible pet ownership group, Clean Air group among the few.
