Primetime King Coco Martin is honored to unite a powerhouse cast of industry veterans and rising stars as FPJ’s Batang Quiapo enters its third year.
During the Tatak BQ: The FPJ’s Batang Quiapo 2nd Anniversary Special, Coco shared his gratitude for working with a stellar ensemble while continuing to tell a story that deeply resonates with viewers. The hit Kapamilya teleserye recently welcomed its newest cast members, including Andrea Brillantes, Jake Cuenca, Angel Aquino, Albert Martinez, Chanda Romero, and Celia Rodriguez.
“It’s overwhelming for me. Just imagine—new actors like us getting the chance to work alongside legendary veterans in the industry. It’s a rare and incredible opportunity,” Coco shared.
While their roles remain under wraps, the newest additions to the cast expressed their excitement.
“I feel a bit pressured, but more than that, I’m incredibly grateful. I’ll use this pressure as motivation to improve because Batang Quiapo offers a different kind of experience. I’ve always wanted to do action,” Andrea said.
Jake, who has collaborated with Coco on past ABS-CBN teleseryes, is eager to reunite with him for another highly anticipated project. “I’m really grateful to be part of such a big and successful series. I can’t wait to work with the best version of Coco Martin,” he shared.
Meanwhile, veteran actresses Chanda and Celia expressed their pride and appreciation for joining the show.
“I’ve heard so much about Coco and the success of Batang Quiapo. I wanted to witness this guy in action firsthand,” Chanda said. Celia echoed her enthusiasm, adding, “I’m so proud to be here. This cast is filled with highly respected thespians, and everyone wants to be part of it.”
Albert and Angel, who played pivotal roles in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, are equally thrilled to reunite with Coco for another action-packed drama.
