Pianist Aidan Ezra Baracol, flutist Mark Kenedy Rocas, violinist Adrian Nicolas Ong, and soprano Lizzie Bett Estrada—the talented CCP Young Music Scholars—will take center stage at the latest PPO Young People’s Concert. This evening promises captivating performances, showcasing virtuosity and passion.
Organized by the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the concert aims to deepen appreciation for classical music by introducing diverse audiences to various orchestral instruments and classic masterpieces from renowned composers.
The concert is designed to inspire and educate, bringing the vibrant sounds of the PPO to young audiences through an engaging lecture-demonstration format. This approach makes classical music and orchestral instruments accessible and enjoyable.
Scheduled for July 27 at 5 PM at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium, the performance will feature the CCP Young Music Scholars alongside the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Herminigildo Ranera.

MEET THE CCP SCHOLARS
Aidan Ezra Baracol: A gifted pianist with a journey that began with drumming, Aidan’s musical progression has been remarkable. Debuting with a solo recital in 2017, he has won numerous local and international piano competitions and is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music, London, under scholarships from the CCP.
Mark Kenedy Rocas: This Cavite-born flutist began his musical journey at age 9. A graduate of PHSA and UP College of Music, Mark is now pursuing his master’s degree in flute performance at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, studying under Sooyun Kim. He has also participated in several masterclasses with international artists.
Adrian Nicolas Ong: Now pursuing an artist diploma at The Royal Conservatory’s Glenn Gould School, Adrian has graduated with honors from the Mannes School of Music. At just 17, he made his orchestral debut with the PPO and has since performed internationally, including at Carnegie Hall. He is committed to giving back to the community through music.
Lizzie Bett Estrada: Currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music on a full scholarship, Lizzie won the Kathleen Ferrier Bursary for Young Singers in 2023. She has performed various classical works and participated in masterclasses with notable artists. Lizzie has also contributed to several CCP events and international concerts.
Experience the talents of these four exceptional young musicians at this year’s PPO Young People’s Concert on July 27 at 5 PM, hosted at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium. Admission is free and open to all.
