The event will take place in Singapore from October 17 to 20, 2024, featuring a business and public exhibition, an industry conference, and several programs for the public.
CAPCOM, a leading global developer and publisher of video games, is the first major publisher to confirm their participation, kickstarting the B2C entertainment area. Attendees can look forward to a variety of hands-on demos of upcoming games and the electrifying CAPCOM Pro Tour 2024 SUPER PREMIER SINGAPORE, an official tournament for Street Fighter™ 6, promising an unforgettable experience for fans and industry professionals alike.
The GCL group also returns to gamescom asia, featuring its games publishing unit 4Divinity with its 2024 titles. These include JDM: Japanese Drift Master, which lets players explore and drift around Japan’s countryside; the open-world construction and survival game Terratech Worlds; the action RPG with base-building and tower defense mechanics First Dwarf; and the immersive sim and horror FPS S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Additional details of globally renowned brands showcasing their games to consumers will be unveiled closer to the show.
Headlining the business conference of gamescom asia is Shawn Layden, who played a pivotal role in shaping the iconic PlayStation brand. He will set the tone for the conference with a fireside chat on insights and predictions about the games industry.
Exhibitors from across the globe will join the event, including companies from Australia, China, Europe, Hong Kong S.A.R., Indonesia, Japan, the Middle East, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, and the USA, as well as country pavilions from Singapore, Thailand, and Spain. This solidifies gamescom asia as the premier hub for Asian gaming. “We are excited to be part of Southeast Asia’s evolving status as a key market in the games industry. The region is showing great potential for growth, and with the continued support we’ve had over the years, plus key industry leaders joining us this year, it’s clear that gaming in the region is on a promising path. Additionally, gamescom asia is uniquely positioned as a bridge for gamers who seek a direct connection to their favorite games and their creators,” said Daria La Valle, Project Director at Koelnmesse, organizer of gamescom asia.
