The imagePRESS V1000, Canon’s latest production printer, is designed with task automation at its core, making it easy for print service providers (PSPs) to achieve color repeatability and registration alignment. The Inline Spectrophotometers (ILS) allow advanced color adjustments, such as engine linearization, color profile creation, G7® calibration, and color validation, to be performed quickly and with minimal operator intervention.
Additionally, the Precision Registration Technology ensures that duplexed sheets remain aligned during long production runs, while an optional Sensing Unit automatically detects and adjusts for prints with mismatched color settings.
To further enhance production capabilities, the imagePRESS V1000 comes with two front-end controller options: the PRISMAsync Print Server and the imagePRESS Server D3000. The PRISMAsync Print Server increases production capacity and provides a consistent workflow across Canon’s production printing offerings, while the Automated Color Task feature simplifies color setup.
The imagePRESS Server D3000, powered by the Fiery FS500 Pro system software, offers familiar workflow and prepress features, and the Express Media Color Manager and Auto Recall, along with the ILS, provide swift and intuitive color management.

The imagePRESS V1000 boasts a powerful technology called POD-SURF (Surface Rapid Fusing), which enables it to maintain a consistent print speed of 100 pages per minute on coated and heavy media types up to 400 gsm. This allows for high efficiency even when printing complex mixed media jobs.
The optional Multi-Drawer Paper Deck, combined with the Bypass trays, expands the paper input capabilities, allowing for a wide range of premium applications to be produced. With remote alerts, operators can easily change media, toner, and remove toner waste while the printer remains in operation, maximizing productivity.
