For the 12th year, Brother Philippines, in partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), organized the annual Lakbay Aral trip for Inigan Elementary School students. Held on December 7, 2024, the event brought 120 students to the Food Wanderer x Lakbay Museo at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Parañaque City, for a fun and educational experience.

25 Brother Philippines associates joined the trip, sharing their time and enthusiasm with the students. The event blended learning and holiday cheer, as students explored interactive exhibits showcasing Filipino culture, food, and traditions in an immersive setting. The day ended on a heartwarming note with a Christmas gift-giving activity, highlighting the event’s commitment to both education and celebration.

“Through the Lakbay Aral program, we strive to provide students with meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom,” said Glenn Hocson, President of Brother Philippines. “We believe in the power of education to transform lives and are honored to enrich students’ learning while celebrating the holiday spirit with them.”
A Tradition of Enriching Young Minds
Since 2012, Lakbay Aral has been a vital part of Brother Philippines’ corporate social responsibility efforts, offering students hands-on learning at various educational venues. Previous trips have included a visit to The Mind Museum in Bonifacio Global City, where students explored science and technology through interactive exhibits.
This year’s destination, Food Wanderer x Lakbay Museo, provided a deeper dive into Filipino heritage and traditions, featuring immersive and visually engaging displays. Through this initiative, Brother Philippines continues to make education accessible, interactive, and inspiring for the students of Inigan Elementary School.

The Lakbay Aral program aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education), which promotes inclusive and equitable learning opportunities, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), emphasizing collaboration in achieving sustainable progress.
“Education is a cornerstone of sustainable development,” said Glenn Hocson, President of Brother Philippines. “Through initiatives like Lakbay Aral, we are committed to empowering young minds and strengthening our communities. We are proud to continue this tradition and look forward to making an even greater impact in the years ahead.”
In partnership with PBSP, Brother Philippines ensures the program’s success, creating lasting benefits for students, their families, and the broader community.
