While the works of French Impressionists have been globally admired for over 150 years, Monet & Friends Alive offers a unique and unprecedented approach to experiencing these masterpieces.
Following the successful realization of the vibrant Van Gogh world, BGC Arts Center extends an invitation to Filipinos to explore French Impressionism through the state-of-the-art immersive experience of Monet & Friends Alive. Marking its debut in the Philippines, the exhibit transports visitors back to 19th-century Europe, offering a sensorial journey through the eyes of Claude Monet and other Impressionist painters.
Monet & Friends Alive, an immersive odyssey into the realm of French Impressionism, is a grand-scale fusion of art and entertainment that delves deep into the mesmerizing world of this artistic movement. The digital spectacle unfolds on January 31, 2024, for a limited engagement at the BGC Arts Center in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
The Impressionists’ depiction of modernity, movement, light, and shadow has inspired generations of artists. Now, over 150 years later, the creative team at Grande Experiences employs immersive technology to bring these artworks to life in a way unimaginable even to the original artists themselves.
Accompanied by a powerful classical score and showcasing the breadth of the Impressionist movement, the exhibit envelops visitors in a breathtaking display of iconic and inspirational images. Enormous projections illuminate the bold brushstrokes of Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, and others. Through a rich interplay of light, color, sound, and fragrance, the masterpieces of the Impressionists are vividly animated.
In addition to the immersive visual experience, visitors can explore the sources of inspiration for the Impressionists through photographs and videos displayed alongside their works.
