The initiative was officially launched at the “Bossjob Revolution: Empowering Careers in Bicol” event held on September 10, 2024, at Casa Blanca Hotel in Legazpi City. The event featured discussions with key stakeholders from local government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and the private sector, including the Office of the Mayor, DOLE, Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Albay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Ako Bicol Partylist, and Junior Chamber International (JCI Legazpi). The event marked the start of Bossjob’s regional expansion and its commitment to providing enhanced career solutions.
Bossjob demonstrated how its AI-powered platform aims to optimize job matching and offer local job seekers more tailored career opportunities. This approach is designed to make the hiring process more efficient and responsive to the needs of both employers and job seekers, creating a more dynamic and connected job market.
Joseph Ayala, representing DOLE Region V, discussed the region’s current employment landscape, emphasizing how technology is reshaping job creation and the importance of platforms like Bossjob in adapting to these changes. Ian Vasquez from JCI Legazpi also provided insights on personal and professional development in a rapidly changing job market, encouraging continuous learning and skill-building to stay competitive.
Arziel B. Ramirez, Labor and Employment Officer II of PESO Legazpi City, addressed job-hopping trends, particularly among younger workers, and shared practical advice for navigating career transitions while seeking stable employment.
Content creators Lorenz Mariñaz and Ricah Buban also spoke on the growing opportunities in digital content creation, particularly in Bicol, highlighting how aspiring creators can leverage digital platforms to build successful careers in the field.
Bossjob’s Growth Director, Feby Llosala-Luñeza, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to improving the job search experience, emphasizing that the expansion into Bicol aligns with Bossjob’s mission to provide cutting-edge career solutions across Southeast Asia.
