On March 29, the candidates for Binibining Pilipinas 2023 showcased their pasarela and talents in a stunning presentation at the New Frontier Theater in Araneta City. The show was hosted by Bb Pilipinas Intercontinental 2022 Gabrielle Basiano, Bb Pilipinas Globe 2022 Chelsea Fernandez, Bb Pilipinas Grand International 2022 Roberta Tamondong, and Bb Pilipinas 2022 2nd runner-up Stacey Gabriel, who highlighted the Filipino culture and the supremacy of Filipina beauty.
The show kicked off with a fiery performance by Quartet PPOP girl group G22, followed by a JAG fashion show segment where the beauties rocked the stage. The talent show, which is considered one of the major and most anticipated activities in Binibining Pilipinas, was a testament to how well-rounded the contestants are. The 28 contestants wowed the audience and judges with their singing, dancing, and artistic talents.
The performances opened with Binibini 1 Juvel Cyrene Bea’s sizzling groove of Tala by Sarah Geronimo, followed by Elaiza Dee Alzona’s rendition of Diamonds by Rihanna. Lyra Punsalan displayed her skills in playing the kulintang, a traditional musical instrument, while Paulina Labayo mesmerized the audience with her jazz and ballet skills to the tune of Mamma Mia. Gianna Llanes captivated the audience with her flute to the tune of Binibini by Zack Tabudlo.
Binibini 6 Angelica Lopez brought the competition to a new level with her performance of the song “This is Me” from the musical The Greatest Showman, while Binibini 7 Allhia Estores interpreted Sinakiki, a folk dance from Albay. Babyerna Liong showed sass and attitude in her sexy hip-hop dance, and Rasha Cortez Al Enzi sang to the tune of Rolling in the Deep by Adele.
The performances continued with Jessilen Salvador’s rendition of Iyong Iyo by Zack Tabudlo, Atasha Reign Parani’s concert-worthy singing and hip-hop dance performance, and Tracy Lois Bedua’s display of Anyo to the tune of Laban Pa by KZ Tandingan.
Julianne Rose Reyes heated up the stage with her hip-hop dance, while Paola Allison B Araño skillfully rapped to the tune of Sirena by Gloc 9. Anje Mae Manipol portrayed a cultural dance from various festival songs, and Zoe Bernardo Santiago brought the heat with her Salsa performance. Anna Valencia Lakrini showcased the Oasioas, a traditional folk dance, and Zeah Nestle Pala displayed her dance sport skill of samba. Katrina Mae Sese serenaded the audiences with her rendition of Love Me for What I am by The Carpenters.
April Angelu Barro demonstrated her poetic prowess through her spoken poetry – A Descendant of Bai Lawanen, accompanied by the traditional score of a kulintang and babakan, while Sharmaine Magdasoc surprised the crowd with her majorette prowess backed up by a marching band. Katrina Anne Jhonson painted an inspirational image, and Joy Dacoron shook the theater with her rock and roll dance. Sofia Lopez Galve raised the bar with her interpretation of Good Girl by Christina Aguilera.
The audiences were awed as Mary Chiles Balana belted the song I Dreamed a Dream from the musical Les Miserables, and Pia Isabel Duloguin enchanted the audiences with the Dumendingan dance, a cultural celebration dance among the Subanen Zamboanga Peninsula. Lea Macapagal gave her rendition of Material.
