Filipino singer-songwriter Benj Pangilinan joyfully embraces life with a positive outlook in his latest single, “Dance Like You,” released today through Sony Music Entertainment.
In this euphoric four-minute pop anthem, the talented newcomer dons his dancing shoes to sing about seizing the moment with a cheerful disposition, both in life and love, capturing the essence of youthful excitement.
Pangilinan shares, “Dance Like You” is a song that resonates with all ages and anyone seeking to have a good time and dance. I penned this song a couple of years ago during the pandemic. I vividly recall playing the guitar when an intriguing chord progression struck me. Without hesitation, I reached for my phone, opened the Voice Memos app, and sensed that a song was about to take shape.”
With his infectious new tune, Pangilinan delivers a much-needed burst of positivity, akin to the warmth of morning sunlight streaming through a window. It’s an upbeat track that offers a generous serving of fun and optimism.
Pangilinan mentions that when crafting “Dance Like You,” he deliberately avoided overthinking the lyrics. The promising young artist had a vision of creating a song that bridges two generations of music, enabling listeners of different ages to let loose, enjoy themselves, and dance.
Grammy-nominated producer Xerxes Bakker, a frequent collaborator with Pangilinan, imbued the track with a timeless, contemporary edge, allowing Benj to express himself authentically and showcase his vibrant personality.
