Coaches Bamboo, KZ Tandingan, and Martin Nievera return to guide a fresh wave of aspiring young artists vying for the title of “The Voice Teens” champion as the latest season of the reality singing competition premieres this Saturday and Sunday (Feb 17 & 18) on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
Rockstar Royalty Bamboo, renowned for nurturing two previous champions from Kamp Kawayan, reflects on the pressure of finding the next Gen Z titleholder of the season.
“I’ve never felt pressure. I mean, there have been disappointments, but I know it’s beyond my control. All I know is, as long as I put in the work and my artist does the same, and we give our best on that given night, I’m okay,” he shares.
Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ, returning for her second year as a coach, shares her criteria for selecting young artists aspiring to join “The Voice Teens.”
“I’m looking for artists who are truly hungry to be part of ‘The Voice Teens’ because you can feel it, you can hear it, even if you can’t see them. You can hear if they’re singing from a deeper place,” explains Team Supreme’s coach.
KZ also reveals a meaningful tattoo of “The Voice” logo on her arm, symbolizing a special moment in her life.
“It’s a full-circle moment for me because it’s my first time judging alongside Sir Martin, and I started in a competition where Sir Martin was a judge. It doesn’t happen to just anybody, so I’m grateful,” she adds.
Meanwhile, Concert King Martin Nievera notes the strengthened bond among the coaches this season, following their collaboration in “The Voice Kids” last year.
“This season, Coach Bamboo, Coach KZ, and I have really hit it off. You’ll see on ‘The Voice Teens’ how we bounce off each other. During the blind auditions, you’ll see how we try to play off each other’s humor or even in serious moments, how we support each other and step back to let the other shine,” Martin shares.
Alongside the coaches, Robi Domingo and Bianca Gonzalez return as hosts, while “The Voice Teens” alumni Jeremy Glinoga and Lorraine Galvez, along with Season 1 and Season 2 grand champions Isang Manlapaz and Kendra Aguirre, serve as online hosts of “The Voice Teens” DIGITV.
“The Voice” has been one of ABS-CBN’s most successful talent-reality shows, grooming artists from various editions and seasons who have left their mark in the music industry.
Who will emerge as the next generation of Gen Z singers to join Kamp Kawayan, Team Supreme, and MarTeam? Tune in to “The Voice Teens” every Saturday and Sunday on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
