Bailey May, former member of the global pop group Now United, marks his return to the local music scene with the release of his comeback single, “Come Closer” under Star Music.
Co-written by Bailey and produced by ABS-CBN Music’s operations and creative head, Jonathan Manalo, the song draws on dancehall and reggaeton influences, showcasing Bailey’s evolution as an artist since his time with Now United.
The Filipino-British singer and actor first gained prominence as a standout housemate on “Pinoy Big Brother: 737” Teen Edition, where he secured the third runner-up spot. In 2015, he launched his self-titled debut album, featuring hits like “Gusto Kita” and “Now We’re Together,” which earned him the Most Promising Male Singer/Performer of the Year award at the 48th Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Box Office Entertainment Awards.
Bailey also appeared in popular Kapamilya shows such as “On The Wings of Love” and “Maalala Mo Kaya,” and was a regular performer on “ASAP.” Most recently, in 2022, he served as a mentor on the idol survival program “Dream Maker.”
